SwissSafari is a Swiss tour operator based in Switzerland and we do advertise with the slogan “searching for that extra something”, because each of our tours is singularly, individual and cut to our guests personal desires.

How do I plan your trip?

Please let me explain to you the way we are planning and organizing your Switzerland/ Europe holidays.

Tour Programs

You will find some tour examples on the website which are there to give you an idea of Switzerland’s places of interest and of the price range we are dealing in. The prices vary according to the destinations, the booked hotel category, the travel season, the mileage and the size of the group.

All our tours are customized - we rarely operate two identical tours. After you have contacted me by email or phone I will send you a questionnaire which I kindly ask you to fill in and to send back to me. Your indications will help me to sort out what type of tour you are looking for and in which price range I can offer the tour to you.

The more information I get from you the better I can plan your Switzerland/Europe holidays and work in creative ideas for some wonderful itineraries. I will include special features, local events and “off the beaten path” locations. I am Swiss, based in Switzerland and I know all the best places to visit and to stay.
Our tours are chauffeur driven/guided but I combine the tours also with scenic railway trips and boat cruises or organize a visit at a watch maker factory, cheese production, winery, castle or others. For families with children we have great adventure programs! Please ask for details.

Once I have all the needed information from your side I will start to put together a first proposal and will send it to you. Now we can discuss the program and make adjustments where desired.

The next steps for a booking will be:

Registration form

Once you agree with an offer/program I will send you a registration from for the final booking of the tour. The form should be filled in, signed and returned to SwissSafari by fax or email. The booking is binding.

Confirmation

After the reception of the registration form SwissSafari will confirm the booking within 24 hours to you. You will receive a booking confirmation and the bank details for the wire transfer of the asked deposit or full amount which should be paid within 7 days.

Invoice/Vouchers

Once we have received the payment we will send you the invoice, vouchers, travel information and brochures by post mail or UPS delivery service. Final payment is 5 weeks prior departure by wire transfer or as indicated on the confirmation. We don’t accept credit cards or checks.

Honeymoon in Switzerland

Is there something nicer than to have two guests in love on a tour?
We love our Honeymoon guests and I am always very proud when I get the trust to organize their most important holidays of their life time.

I am aware of the responsibility that I have and I always take a special attention when I plan a tour for “Honeymooners”. The tours must turn out to a memorable and very special event. A special eye is taken in the booked accommodation which must always be romantic and a place to spend a wonderful time.

Our drivers/guides are aware that our Honeymoon guests need more privacy than other guests but are still always at their service when needed and care for a perfect guided program and for their belongings and needs.

Switzerland’s beauty, diversity, cleanliness and friendliness are just perfect for a Honeymoon tour. There is so much to explore – please let us show it to you and let us spoil you on a tour with SwissSafari.

Golfing in Switzerland!

Since the beginning of 2004 I have also specialized in the theme of Golf to serve my golfer clients with fantastic chauffeur-driven Golf Packages.

The SwissSafari golf tours are let to the finest golf courses of Switzerland. Some tour examples show you the variety in Golfing that Switzerland has to offer! Of course I provide you with ideas of other golf courses or arrange a package of your desires.

The Golf Packages are available for small groups only. I include the land transportation by van or mini bus with private chauffeur/tour manager, accommodation, pre-reserved tee-times, caddy fees if required, and an alternative program of sightseeing for any non-golfers in the party.

The golf tours can be combined with any other areas of interest, with Top Swiss Events (European Masters at Crans Montana), with sightseeing trips or with tours to our neighbour countries.

Service features

All tours and transfers with SwissSafari are taken in modern and clean limousines, vans or mini buses that provide ample space for our guests and the baggage. One of our multi-lingual and experienced drivers/travel guides accompanies you on the tour and he/she is responsible for a perfect program, the hotel check-ins, your personal belongings and will help you with information to Switzerland and with guided city or walking tours. A personal care and over all service is guaranteed!

Hotels

As SwissSafari is based in Switzerland I can check all the Hotels which I book for my clients – and this is what I am doing!

I book always the best hotels of your chosen category and will allways do my best to get your accommodation in swiss style hotels with that special “regional touch” and with the best views and settings.

Reservations/Payments

The booking of a tour package will only follow after some discussions concerning the type of program you desire. Once you agree with a program/offer you receive a registration form which should be filled in, signed and sent back to SwissSafari. Bookings are binding.

Payments are only accepted by wire transfer. More information on the reservation and payment conditions are to read in our contractual conditions and will be sent to you with the offer.

Air-/Rail-Transportation

Please note: SwissSafari will not handle air transportation, but your driver/guide will take care of you from the moment you arrive in Switzerland/Europe!

We don’t provide railway tours but will gladly include scenic train trips and boat cruises into your program or assist you with seat reservations in night trains or fast speed trains.

is a very safe country with a high standard of living. For the traveler it offers an immense variety of sightseeing, culture, history and regional attractions. The beautiful landscapes and the unique high alpine mountain areas invite to be visited in all seasons. SwissSafari - Individual Touring

is a small Swiss tour company which is distinguished by its high standards, individuality and friendliness. We are a registered tour company with a license for professional passenger transportation within Switzerland and the EU countries. We are a member of TaxiSuisse, ASTAG, Swiss Tourism, Bern Tourism and TCS.

SwissSafari is specialized in customized and chauffeur-driven holidays in Switzerland and Europe. All our tours are taken in comfortable vans or mini buses with personal chauffeur/tour guide. We work with individual travelers and small groups and arrange tours for both - corporate travel and leisure passenger.

Travel Agencies like to work with us because we are all Swiss and based in Switzerland. We are flexible and a reliable and experienced business partner.

We offer for our clients a full service with hotel bookings, personal chauffeur/guide, sightseeing and event planning.

Foundation

The idea to the foundation of the SwissSafari tour company raised when I came back home from one of my many trips to abroad.
Switzerland is a beautiful country but there has not been a supplier for customized and chauffeur driven travel.

My website had appeared the first time on the internet platform in the year 2002. Two years and many happy clients later I had founded the SwissSafari – Individual Touring GmbH and now we are driving great tours for our guests.

Drivers/guides

SwissSafari is lucky to have very good, experienced and motivated drivers/guides. All our drivers/guides are multi lingual Swiss and have a wide knowledge of Switzerland and it’s culture and the neighboring countries. Their goal on a tour is, always to make the best out of the holidays of the guests.

In the main touring season there are 4 - 5 drivers/guides available. During low season (in winter time) there are 1 or 2 drivers “en route”. For the Geneva area and for the destination Zermatt we have a reliable local partner for airport transfers, day tours and transfers to the ski destinations in this region.

Car fleet

Most of our tours are driven in comfortable vans because 95% of your guests are individual travelers, families or mini groups.

According to the group size or the desire of the guests we can also provide luxury limousines or comfortable Mini or Midi buses up to 17 seats. Thanks to our reliable business partners we can tour in every type and size of car and make your trip even more relaxed.

Some of the VIP-Mini buses have leather seats, DVD, coffee maker and refrigerator on board.

All cars and buses are equipped with seat belts, children safety seats are available. All our cars are non smoking cars!

Our philosophy

SwissSafari - small but excellent!

My goal is not to commercialize the tours too much, but to keep my business small and excellent for that I can offer to my guests an individual and personal care and the best value and service that can be rendered on a tour.
The entire SwissSafari-Team are all Swiss and we know our country, it’s culture and the places of interest very well and can provide to our guests a flexible and individual trip. With our friendliness and hospitality we want to make our guests feel at home and to be one of us!

Because we have only a small number of drivers/guides we can be quickly booked up in the main travel season and it may happen, that I am not able to offer to you a tour! I hope of your understanding that I don’t want to enlarge the team and I appreciate early bookings to guarantee a tour!

My emphasis is always in quality; I do not claim to be the cheapest, but prefer to offer excellent value for money for those travelers wanting that “extra something” and a memorable, wonderful tour.

SwissSafari - offers unique services in Switzerland!

No other tour company is a first class tour provider and is offering entire holiday packages (hotels arrangements, events, private chauffeur, personal guide, etc., sorry, no air fares). Also unique is the special attention that I take in chosing the right accomodation (all our hotels are proved before they are booked) and in personalizing the programs - even on tour. No other company or travel agency would act as flexibly as SwissSafari does!
